Let's Get Going

Several months ago, I sensed the Lord inspiring me to begin blogging. It was a sense of urgency to make known to the public what God had laid dear to my heart as a leader. For many, doing something new can be exciting on the one hand and scary on the other. I must admit that I am a little uncomfortable typing this right now. Thoughts of what people will think or say runs rampant in my mind (I'm a recovering "people pleaser"). Didn't I say that God inspired me to blog? Then, what makes it so difficult to do as He said? The need to be accepted by man is a hindrance and stumbling block to those who are called of God. Indeed, God has called all of His children to work in His field. He is no respecter of persons. Each He has called to different tasks yet the same spirit works in all. Easy it is to say that we all have different ministries and we all need each other to survive. Every part or member of the body works together for the betterment of the whole. Yet, somehow, there is a fear that my part is not needed or is not good enough better yet is not like someone else's. Who told me that? Yes, I'm sure you have already figured it out. The enemy. Our God is much different. He knows that His children are flawed, and have not reached perfection, yet He desires to use us anyway. Wow. Even me Lord. So, let's get going. I speak to myself and others who are hesitant to do what God has said because of fear of man. Our God did not give us the spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind.
